Kolokwa is a free English-to-Kolokwa translator. It is built to need as little from you as possible, and this page says exactly what that means.

Who operates this app

This app is operated by Agile Solutions Limited Liability Company, the same entity that publishes it on the App Store and Google Play.

No account

There is no account. You do not sign up, you do not sign in, and there is no profile of you anywhere.

What we do not collect

We do not collect your name, your email address, your phone number, your contacts, your photos, your location, or an advertising identifier. The app does not ask for any of them and has no code that would store them.

Translation happens on your phone

The orthography tables and the spelling rules are bundled inside the app. Translating runs entirely on your device — the app works with no internet connection at all, and nothing you type is sent anywhere just because you typed it.

Your recent translations stay here

The app keeps your recent translations so you can tap one to use it again. That list is held on this phone and nowhere else: it never leaves your device and is never transmitted, not to us and not to anyone. You can delete any one of them, or clear the whole list, from the translate screen, and uninstalling the app removes it entirely.

What is sent, and only then

Nothing is sent because you typed it. Only one thing can leave your phone, and it is kept deliberately small.

A word the app could not spell, reported automatically

When the app has to guess at a spelling, it reports that word so a Kolokwa speaker can correct it. You did not ask for that report, so it carries as little as it can: only the individual words the app could not spell and the guesses it made for them — never the sentence you typed, and never that sentence translated, which would carry what you said just as surely as the original.
The report also carries the app and orthography versions and a random identifier created when you installed the app. That identifier is not linked to your identity: it is a random number, not derived from your phone, your SIM, or you, and it is gone when you uninstall the app. Everything is held on your device until you are online, so nothing is sent while you are offline.

What the reported words are used for

The reported words are read to improve the Kolokwa orthography and this app's translations. Because this is a language-documentation project, those words may be published as part of an open language dataset for Kolokwa.

No advertising, no tracking

There is no advertising in this app and no third-party tracking: no analytics SDK, no crash reporter that profiles you, no social-network pixel, no advertising identifier. Nothing about you is sold or shared with anyone, because nothing about you is collected.

Children

The app is safe for all ages and collects nothing from anyone, including children.

Deleting what you sent

Uninstalling the app removes everything held on your phone, including the random install identifier and any reports still waiting to be sent. To have already-submitted reports deleted, write to support@liberiankolokwa.com. We will delete anything we can identify as yours — but here is the honest limit: because the identifier is random and we never learn who it belongs to, we may not be able to find which submissions were yours unless you can tell us the words involved or the identifier itself. That is the cost of collecting nothing about you, and we think it is the right trade.

Changes to this policy

If the app ever starts sending something new, this page changes before that version ships.
